Barrington Public Schools
Inclusion Preschool Program
The Barrington Public Schools Inclusion Preschool Program will be entering its twelfth year in the Fall of 2019. The program is designed to provide a high quality preschool experience for children 3 to 5 years old. Certified teachers, teacher assistants and therapists work with children with and without disabilities to provide a typical preschool experience, while addressing each individual’s needs. The program is located at Primrose Hill School, 60 Middle Highway. Sessions run 2.5 hours per day, 5 days per week. The morning session is currently for children 3.0 to 3.11 years old. The afternoon session is currently for children 4.0 to 5 years old, not in kindergarten. All children applying as community peers must be Barrington residents and must be 3.0 years old by the first day of the school year. Applicants must also be screened by our Child Outreach program prior to the start of the 2019-2020 school year.
Community peers will be chosen by a lottery held on Thursday, February 7, 2019. Lottery results will be mailed by Monday February 11, 2019. If the name of a child chosen is from a multiple birth (twins/triplets), effort will be made to allow both/all children to enter the classroom, if space allows.
For additional information, you may contact the Pupil Personnel Office at 247-3145.
